proses pembuatan kimchi

Sebenarnya ada banyak jenis kimchi kt korea.. Kimchi biasanye dibuat dari lobak putih, kobis, timun, green onion dll..

selain dimakan sbgai side-dish dgn nasi, kimchi juga dijadikan main ingredient untuk makanan Korea yg lain seperti kimchi soup, kimchi stew, kimchi pancake & kimchi fried rice...

dari aspek kesihatan, kimchi mengandungi fiber yg tinggi kerana ramuan utamanya adalah sayur-sayuran. ia juga mengandungi vitamin C & carotene yg mencukupi utk kegunaan seharian. ia juga mengandungi banyak vitamin lain yg disumbang oleh sayur-sayuran yg dicampur.

Majalah HEALTH juga pernah menamakan Kimchi sbg "World's Healthiest Food".

Additional info:

In 1996, Korea argued that Japanese kimchi was substantially different from traditional kimchi (in particular, that it was not fermented), and that it therefore should not be labeled kimchi. Korea lobbied for an international standard from the Codex Alimentarius, an organization associated with the World Health Organization that defines voluntary standards for food preparation. A non-binding standard was published in 2001 that described production methods similar to those traditionally used in Korea.
